Complaints and Disputes
We at Headwest Brain Injury Association of WA take your concerns, feedback and complaints very seriously and will make every effort to make sure all complaints are heard and resolved as soon as possible. We will follow Disability Service Standard 7 on Complaints and Disputes, which means we will:
- Listen to you;
- By happy to help you;
- Help you to explain what the problem is;
- Try to fix your problem;
- Tell you about other people or places you can talk to about your complaint; and
- We will keep your complaint private.
Steps to making a complaint about Headwest:
Step 1. Tell the Headwest Executive Officer that you have a complaint, or fill in and send the
complaint form.
Step 2. Your complaint will be dealt with promptly, it will be kept confidential, and the outcome of the grievance procedure will be recorded in writing, and both parties will sign off on the agreed outcomes.
Step 3. If the complain is not resolved to your satisfaction, then you may wish to take the complaint further.
You may bring a support person with you, such as a friend, to complaints resolution meetings.
If you need information in alternative formats, such as an audio recording, or in Braille, or an Auslan interpreter, or a language interpreter, please ask and Headwest will make sure you have what you need to explain the problem.
