Bequests

Bequests to Headwest

Bequests are a simple yet incredibly powerful support for the causes that matter the most to you. They transfer your Will into one of the most potent tools for change there is, with little or no impact on your lifestyle today.

Best of all, if you choose to include what is known as a residuary bequest in your Will, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that your loved ones will be catered for without sacrificing your long-term support for people with Acquired Brain Injury and their families.

Types of Bequests

Residuary bequest

This is simply a gift of whatever is left of your estate (or a percentage thereof) after all your other gifts, taxes and debts have been fulfilled. As they are not specific amounts of money, this sort of bequest keeps its value ergardless of inflation over the years. It means that the gift you include today is worth just as much when the time comes to put it to work combating Acquired Brain Injury and the grief it causes thousands of families each year.

Pecuniary bequest

This refers to leaving a gift of a set dollar amount determined by you at the time of drawing up or altering your will.

Specific bequest

This is leaving a gift of an item of specific value to be passed on to Headwest, Brain Injury Association of WA Inc.in order to generate funds.
